Josh Binstock and Sam Schachter will represent Canada in the Rio Olympics after winning the Canadian Olympic Beach Volleyball Trials match versus Grant O'Gorman and Sam Pedlow.
Volleyball Canada chose to host a winner-take-all match between its No. 2 and No. 3-ranked men's beach duos after the country earned an Olympic berth through the World Continental Cup.
The trial match was played in North Bay, Ontario, and O'Gorman and Pedlow took the first set 22-20. Binstock and Schachter rallied back to win the second 21-17, and then maintained their momentum through the third to earn their spot in the Olympics 15-12.
