4. Six-pack

A hard-driven shot to the face.

5. Roof

A block that goes straight to the floor.

That thing your parents keep reminding you they put over your head.

6. Slide

When the middle hitter comes around to the right side and attacks off one foot.

OR

Everyone's favorite playground attraction.

7. Tool

When a swing ricochets off the block and out of bounds.

OR

A piece of equipment that makes a tough job easier.

8. Chicken wing

When the ball comes at you high and you snag the dig with a stuck out arm bent in the shape of a chicken wing.

The most delightfully delicious part of everyone's favorite variety of poultry.

9. Floater

A serve with no spin that changes direction in the air.

Someone who is very buoyant.

10. Dump

When the setter sends it over on two.

What your teammate is doing when she disappears from practice for large swathes of time.
