U.S. Girls' Youth National Team Heads To Argentina With Final Roster Of 12
USA Volleyball has announced the final 12-player Girls' Youth National Team roster which will travel to Argentina later this week for the FIVB U18 World Championships.
USA Volleyball has announced the final 12-player girls' youth national team roster which will travel to Argentina later this week for the FIVB U18 World Championships.
A larger training group, which was announced in early July, has been in Colorado Springs for the past two weeks, practicing for the tournament, which is August 18-27, in Rosario and Santa Fe, Argentina.
Four of the athletes on the final roster -- libero Brooke Nuneviller, outsides Logan Eggleston and Skylar Fields, and middle Kendall Kipp -- were members of the 2016 girls' youth national team, which won gold at the 2016 NORCECA U18 Continental Championship.
Jim Stone will serve as head coach of the team, with Michelle Chatman-Smith and Michael Gee assisting.
