Meet The 2017 Under Armour All-Americans: Camryn Tastad
Camryn Tastad is a thorn in the side of opposing teams’ hitters. The 5-foot-3 libero from Santa Fe Christian High School in Solana Beach, California, racked up 479 digs in her senior season, and in her career she’s tallied more than 1,000 saves — a feat she’ll seek to repeat in college at the University of Oregon.
“Cam will be a fan favorite from day one,” Oregon head coach Matt Ulmer said. “She is the best floor defender in the country and constantly makes plays that make you question, ‘How did she do that?’ Cam has attitude, swagger, and confidence for days and I can't wait to work with her.”

Position: Libero
Height: 5-3
High School: Santa Fe Christian
Club: WAVE
College Commitment: Oregon
Tastad always knew she wanted to play in the Pac-12, and her dream is coming true.
“After visiting Oregon, I was completely in love and immediately knew that I had found my future home,” Tastad said. “I committed to the University of Oregon because of the high level Pac-12 program, the dedicated coaches, and energy and love between the girls on the team.”
The fiery defensive player followed in her sister Taryn’s footsteps in pursuing volleyball and choosing to be a libero, but she’ll be following in the footsteps of another influential person in her life when she takes the court at the Under Armour All-America Match later this week.
Reigning Gatorade Player of the Year and current University of Texas freshman Lexi Sun was Tastad’s teammate at Santa Fe Christian, and Tastad says winning a CIF San Diego Section Open Division title alongside Sun in 2016 was the best moment of her volleyball career.
