It's been a very weird year but we have made it to the CAA Women's Volleyball Championships. This year, the championship field will consist of just four teams – Towson (host team), Charleston, James Madison, and Northeastern.

RICHMOND, Va. (March 28, 2021) – The four-team field for the 2020 Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Volleyball Championship is set. This year’s championship is scheduled for Friday, April 2 and Saturday, April 3 and will be played at SECU Arena on the campus of Towson University in Towson, Md.

Play begins Friday, April 2 when the top seed in the North, Towson (4-0, 2-0 CAA), matches up with the second seed in the South, Charleston (5-5, 4-4 CAA), at 3 p.m. That match is followed by the top seed in the South, James Madison (7-2, 6-1 CAA), taking on the second seed in the North, Northeastern (7-2, 4-1 CAA), at 6 p.m.

The winners advance to face off in the championship match Saturday, April 3 at 3 p.m. The CAA champion earns an automatic berth to the NCAA Volleyball Championship.

The CAA adopted a divisional format during the spring volleyball season to ensure the health and safety off all our student-athletes, coaches, and institutional staff members during a unique and unprecedented year. The nine teams were split into two divisions based on geographical location to create the North Division: Delaware, Hofstra, Northeastern and Towson along with the South Division: Charleston, Elon, James Madison, UNCW and William & Mary.

The Championship field was reduced from six teams to four with the top two schools from each division earning the right to compete for the CAA conference championship.

There will be no public sale of tickets for the CAA Volleyball Championships. Attendance will be limited to families and guests of student-athletes and coaches.

Friday, April 2 – CAA Championship Semifinals
Match 1: #1 North - Towson vs #2 South - Charleston - 3 p.m.
Match 2: #1 South - James Madison vs #2 North - Northeastern – 6 p.m.

Saturday, April 3 – CAA Championship Final
Match 3: Game 1 Winner vs Game 2 Winner – 3 p.m.
