Over Presidents Day weekend, most of the country's club volleyball players hit the road. Although there were probably hundreds of tournaments across the nation, five major competitions played host to the highest level of talent: the Nike Presidents Day Classic in St. Louis; SCVA Las Vegas Classic in, of course, Las Vegas; ASICS Presidents Day Classic in Omaha, Nebraska; the Mizuno Sports Performance Presidents Day Challenge in Aurora, Illinois; and the Triple Crown Volleyball NIT in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Thirty-two teams made it into the 17 Open Championship bracket at Triple Crown, but it was TAV 17 Black of Carrollton, Texas, that finished on top. Texas-committed middle Asjia O'Neal, outside hitter and Minnesota recruit Adanna Rollins, and Arizona State-bound libero Berkley Adams led 17 Black to an 8-0 record and the title, losing only two sets throughout the three-day event. The team's closest match was versus Club V 17 Andrew, which TAV won 18-16 in the third.

Idaho Crush 17U also impressed at Triple Crown. Despite losing a match to Wave 17 Kevin in pool play, the team was able to turn things around and make it to the championship match where it lost to TAV 25-19, 25-13.

In St. Louis, HPSTL 17 Royal won the Nike Presidents Day Classic, coming back after losing the first set of the final and securing a three-set victory over Team Indiana Elite 17 Asics 20-25, 25-15, 15-9.

The SCVA Las Vegas Classic marked the first big weekend of competition for many California teams, and it was Beach Vibes Sharks 17-1 that earned the title. The squad didn't lose a set the entire weekend and beat The Diff 17 Black 25-21, 25-17 in the championship match.

At the Mizuno Sports Performance Presidents Day Challenge, Legacy 17 Elite turned heads by playing up in the 18 Open division and then not losing a set on its way to the championship match. There, 17 Elite lost to Club Fusion 18 Red, a team ranked in our Flo50 18s rankings, but put up a good fight and established itself as one of the toughest 17s teams in the country.

Michio Chicago 17 National won the 17 Open division at the Mizuno Sports Performance Presidents Day Challenge, beating Uno Girls 17 Elite in two in the final, and as a result, Michio Chicago has jumped a few positions in our latest 17s rankings.

At the Asics Presidents Day Classic in Omaha, it was Ozark Juniors 17-1 still standing at the conclusion of the gold bracket championship match, but CIA 17 Black certainly put up a fight, with Ozark Juniors winning 15-13 in the third.
